1st Amcolian Major General

A graduate of 1st batch, ARMY MEDICAL COLLEGE RAWALPINDI (1981), was privileged to receive ‘Distinguished Medical Graduate Award’ at graduation. Passed F.C.P.S-I in 1986 and completed diploma of surgery from A.F.P.G.M.I Rawalpindi in 1987. By Allah’s blessing competed ‘F.C.P.S in General Surgery’ in 1990. Being part of Pakistan Army, was sent to gulf war-I in 1990 with Army contingent to Saudi Arabia. Was selected for ‘On Job Training’ in breast and Endocrine Surgery in St.Thoma’s Hospital, London from 1993-1994. Since then, has served in different Combined Military Hospitals all over the country, as Surgical specialist and remained on different teaching appointments for Undergraduates & Postgraduates. During 29 years of service, he has published many research papers in the subject of Surgery and worked as assistant editor of PAFM Journal for 5 years. Has been working as a Supervisor for F.C.P.S in General Surgery, for the last 10 years and as a Examiner for F.C.P.S for the last 5 years. Has attended various National/International workshops of ‘Medical Education’ held at University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore. Now is serving as Professor of Surgery ARMY MEDICAL COLLEGE and Head of Department of Surgery C.M.H Rawalpindi. Being fortunate, got promoted to the rank of Major General, given the recognition to be the 1st Amcolian General. Today is working with the same pride, zeal and enthusiasm for the goal, which is server PAK ARMY and make this country PAKISTAN a better place, for the generations to come.
