AAA is essentially an academic and a research body constituted for the graduates of Army Medical College under the patronage of the Principal of the College with the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) as its Patron in Chief. This body has been formed with the full support and endorsement of the good offices of Pakistan Army. This is to put Pakistan and Armed Forces on the international map in the field of health, medical education and research.
AAA has been conceived with the theme of attaining highest standards and excellence in the field of health sciences through pooling of the intellectual and academic resources from across the globe. This is to ensure that the academia of Army Medical College can realize its full potential in the fields of research, medical education, health services, and delivery of ethical, evidence-based, scientific health care to Pakistani populace based on principles of equity, cost effectiveness and accessibility. The major areas of pursuit in this regard will be prevention of illness, provision of treatment, promotion of health, and human resource development in medical education and health sciences.
